As part of the "Steps for Ambition and Empowerment" initiative / Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Program, the Student Activities Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs organized a virtual lecture on Intellectual Property. The lecture was presented by Ms. Aisha Harib Hamad from Dubai Customs and was attended by many members of the university community. The lecture aimed to raise awareness about the importance of intellectual property, including the purposes of protecting intellectual property rights such as fair competition, encouraging innovation, and economic growth. It also covered various types and categories of intellectual property. The lecture concluded with an introduction to the Dubai Customs Intellectual Property Award for scientific research and short films, and encouraged participation in it.
