Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development

The University of Sharjah celebrated the graduation of a group of participants from professional diploma programs, benefiting the Ministry of Interior, the Social Services Department, and the Sharjah Education Council in the Emirate of Sharjah. These programs were prepared and implemented by the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University of Sharjah during the past period. The celebration took place at the Al-Razi Hall in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences Complex at the University of Sharjah, in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, the Director of the University of Sharjah, Colonel Dr. Hamad Al Alkim, the President of the Police Court Administration, the General Directorate of Police Justice, Dr. Jasim Al Hammadi, the Director of the Knowledge Management Department at the Social Services Department, Dr. Asmaa Nusairi, the Director of the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development, and Ms. Fawzia Al Hammadi, the Deputy Director of the Early Childhood Department at the Sharjah Academy for Education.

The graduation ceremony included the programs: "Professional Diploma in Legal and Judicial Sciences" for the Ministry of Interior, "Professional Diploma in Child Protection Batch Seven" for the Social Services Department, and "Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Batch Four" for the Sharjah Education Council, as well as two batches from the program "Professional Diploma in Nutrition and Healthcare", and programs in "Professional Diploma in Artificial Intelligence Programming", "Professional Diploma in Interior Design", "Professional Diploma in Institutional Excellence and Quality Management", "Professional Diploma in Family Counseling", and "Advanced Professional Diploma in Family Counseling", with a total of 200 male and female graduates.

The graduation ceremony began with the national anthem of the country and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the opening speech by His Excellency Prof. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, who congratulated the graduates, stating, "The University of Sharjah continues its work with dedication and loyalty in building and developing individuals according to the standards set by the cultural and modern renaissance of the Emirate of Sharjah. These standards, which were established and are keenly maintained by its founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah, are the standards required by various international entities for the progress and development of the country in general and the Emirate of Sharjah in particular. The University of Sharjah is built on these foundations and standards, and its President, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, is currently reaffirming them, ensuring that these curricula have modern objectives and goals that align with the general cultural journey of the country and specifically with the Emirate of Sharjah."

Prof. Hameed Al Nuaimi emphasized that the University of Sharjah is confident, based on the experiences of participants in previous program courses, that the returns of these programs are trustworthy because they are of great importance in developing work in all its dimensions and contents. Therefore, it is our pleasure at the University of Sharjah to present to society now a new batch of its sons and daughters, holders of professional diplomas, who have set their scientific and specialized goals with the aim of formulating experiences, knowledge, and skills of the children of this country who are participants, in line with future trends and to ensure maximum benefit from available financial and human resources, reducing cost elements, planning, implementing, and managing various projects, and contributing to successful strategic planning.

During her speech, Dr. Asmaa Nsiri, Director of the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University of Sharjah, congratulated the graduates and the institutions to which they belong, wishing them success in their future steps. She added that today's graduates are in various fields, reflecting the depth and diversity in the commitment of the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development to enhance the knowledge and skills necessary to confront the challenges of the times. She affirmed that the center is a fundamental pillar in the journey of education and professional development for many institutions and individuals, adopting a new vision aimed at expanding the horizons of continuous education and making it more flexible and integrated with the requirements of the times, by offering innovative and specialized programs that meet the needs of labor markets and enhance learners' abilities to adapt and innovate.

At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency, accompanied by Colonel Dr. Hamad Al Alkim, Dr. Jasim Al Hammadi, Dr. Asmaa Nsiri, and Ms. Fawzia Al Hammadi, presented graduation certificates to the graduates and exchanged commemorative shields between the university, the Ministry of Interior, the Social Services Department, and the Sharjah Education Council.
