Health Care
Your child’s health and wellbeing are very important to us. In order to provide a healthy and safe environment for all children, the Nursery undertakes the following:
- The Nursery’s doctor regularly visits the children.
- A nurse is present at the nursery on a permanent basis. Throughout the day, she periodically checks the children’s temperature and follows-up on their health and appetite because of our commitment to prevent any sick children from being in the Nursery in order to maintain a healthy environment for all.
- If a child becomes sick at the Nursery, the nurse will give the necessary care or first aid and immediately contact the parents/guardians to pick up the child.
- Parents/guardians are required to inform the Nursery of their child’s absence for any reason.
- Parents/guardians are required to inform the Nursery of any prior surgery, joint dislocation or other, possible allergies to food or dairy products (Phenylketonuria), asthma, chest allergies requiring vapor inhalation devices, erratic fevers, rising body temperatures beyond the normal, genetic diseases such as epilepsy or any other conditions that need to be taken into consideration.
- An ambulance belonging to the University of Sharjah is on campus for emergency cases, Allah forbid.
- Every morning the nurse of the Nursery does a general checkup for all children to reassure their general health and hygiene and that they are free from any fever or any infectious diseases. The nurse examines cleanliness of the hair /nails / ears / clothes and rest of the body.
- In case of catching fever wheh the child is in the Nursery , the nurse will immediately call parents or whoever will replace them from emergency contacts (as signed on registration form) to pick up the child from the Nursery. and take him to the doctor.
