2023-2024 UoS 3M Competition
On April 15th, 2024, the institute hosted the 2023-2024 3M Competition, a pivotal event that highlights the university's commitment to fostering innovation and creativity. This second edition of the competition saw thirty participants showcasing their research, scientific discoveries, entrepreneurial initiatives, and technological solutions.
The competition, aimed at empowering students and enhancing their presentation skills, was lauded by UoS Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Professor Yousef Haik, for its role in bridging the gap between academic research and public understanding. The jury, consisting of esteemed faculty members Dr. Dana Khalil, Prof. Moussa Leblouba, Dr. Khaled Abass, and Dr. Wafa Khalfan Al Ali, ensured the competition's integrity. Winners received cash awards, with a special audience choice prize emphasizing the importance of engagement.
The winners included Fatima Abdullah Abdul Salam and Nada Ehab Mohamed Raafat Mahmoud Zyada, among others. As the competition grows, there are plans to expand its reach to other universities, promising even greater innovation in the future.
