We aim to create a space where both international and UAE students can thrive intellectually and socially—a true home away from home. Our comprehensive approach involves managing all aspects of dorm life, from creating yearly schedules and detailed reports to sending out important housing notifications and news updates. Each semester, we warmly welcome new residents, guiding them through dorm rules and responsibilities while continuously supporting those who require additional care or medical attention. We strongly advocate for a balanced lifestyle. Therefore, we organize weekly outings, sporting events, and recreational programs that blend instruction, supervision, and fun in a familial setting. Our commitment to providing a safe and educational environment is unwavering, with supervisors available around the clock to address any concerns and ensure the well-being of our residents. Join our vibrant community where you can achieve academic excellence and form lasting friendships.
Overview
The primary goal of female student housing is to provide a comfortable, supportive environment that feels like home. With a focus on ensuring students' well-being, we create the perfect atmosphere for academic success while fostering friendships between different nationalities. We oversee the needs of all female students living in university housing, whether they’re from other countries or different regions. Our goal is to support those whose special circumstances require on-campus housing. The University Housing Administration takes care of everything—from developing annual plans to preparing detailed reports and managing housing bulletins and announcements. We welcome new students at the start of each semester, offering clear guidance on housing rules, responsibilities, and health support, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and well-informed.
To make student life more enriching, we also organize recreational programs, sports activities, and weekly trips. Our aim is to create a family-like atmosphere where education, guidance, and fun come together seamlessly. The dorms consist of 13 units, with eight general buildings for students of all specializations and five buildings reserved for female medical students.
- Helping female students develop their psychological, social, and educational compatibility.
- Providing psychological, social, and academic counseling for female university students.
- Providing female students with psychological, social and academic information and giving them skills that will help them succeed.
- Studying the causes of academic stumbling, advising students who are struggling academically, and helping them advance in their studies.
- Studying female students’ problems and crises to which they are exposed, and counseling them psychologically, socially, or health-wise.
- Educating society about psychological and social issues related to youth and families.
In addition, the Female Dormitory Section fully supervises all the affairs of female students residing in the dorms whether from the UAE or overseas. As part of its mandate, it devises the dormitory's annual plan, prepares quarterly and annual reports, and oversees the production and distribution of housing announcements and news bulletins.
One of the responsibilities of the section is to receive new student residents at the beginning of each semester, to familiarize them with the dormitory's rules and regulations, and the duties and responsibilities of female student residents. Furthermore, it provides assistance to cases that need special care and on-going medical check-ups. Another responsibility is to organize recreational programs, sports activities and weekly trips with the aim of ensuring a comfortable stay for students in a family atmosphere that combines education, guidance and entertainment. The section strives to provide residents with a safe, educational environment. Consequently, our supervisors are available 24 hours a day to meet all the resident students' needs and requirements, and to supervise their departure from and return to the campus.
Policies and procedures:
The dormitory administration is dedicated to accommodating as many female students as possible, while fostering an environment that inspires creativity, innovation, and academic success. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, supportive space where students can thrive both personally and academically.
Receipt and fees
When a new student arrives at the housing administration, she and her guardian are greeted with a warm welcome. Basic details, such as her major and nationality, are collected, and the student is informed of her room type (such as a distinguished double), along with the quarterly and annual fees. The student then heads to the financial department to complete payment procedures for insurance and housing fees. Finally, the guardian returns to the housing department to finalize the file and secure the room reservation, ensuring a smooth and easy transition into campus life.
File Opening
To open a housing file for the student, her guardian (father) or representative must be present with an official document from the court. They’ll need to bring the payment receipt from the financial department and essential identification documents, including personal photos, the student’s passport, the guardian’s ID or passport, medical examination results, a certificate of good conduct, and the student’s birth certificate.
A designated staff member will walk the student and her guardian through all housing regulations and instructions. The student agrees to follow these guidelines and understands the consequences of any violations. The guardian will also provide a list of authorized individuals (first- and second-degree relatives) who can accompany the student to and from the residence. Additionally, permits for taxis for female residents or end-of-week buses for non-residents can be arranged. If the guardian wishes to add a private vehicle permit, they just need to attach a copy of the vehicle’s ownership and the driver’s license. This comprehensive process ensures a smooth transition into student housing.
Accommodation of the female student Female students are thoughtfully accommodated by the housing committee, which includes the housing director and supervisors. The committee carefully considers each student's preferences while taking stock of available rooms. Their goal is to coordinate placements, fostering connections among female students of the same nationality and specialization whenever possible. This approach ensures a supportive community where everyone feels at home.
