Clinical Legal Office

Department Overview

The office is built on the philosophy of the merging of the theoretical and practical legal methods; which essentially aim on assisting the students on gaining experience and skills through facing practical cases. Also providing free legal services to the unable category from the society:  to help them exercise the right to litigation and legal assistance as they do not have the legal or material means to do so.
The legal office is related to social justice and focuses mainly on the practical training of the law through the provision of legal assistance. As it is a practical educational system that trains students on the skill of the legal profession and legal skills in general.
A unit called "Intellectual Property Unit" will be established in the clinical legal office to provide a specialized program in intellectual property. It will be provided through lawyers specializing in intellectual property.  The service will be provided for the faculty members and students of the University of Sharjah at no material cost.
The legal services provided by the office are free of charge. (Pro Bono cases).
