The Central Labs Directorate, in collaboration with the College of Sciences, organized a workshop titled "Enhancing Lab Safety Compliance at the College of Sciences." This workshop aimed to emphasize the importance of lab safety training and provide guidelines and recommendations to enhance annual safety training compliance among students, staff, and faculty within the College of Sciences.

The workshop addressed various topics to ensure a thorough understanding of lab safety training (SafetySkills) and the annual KPI targets for lab safety training compliance. Key discussions included the importance of safety training, a review of the previous year's compliance report for the College of Sciences, guidance on selecting appropriate safety courses, strategies to improve safety training compliance, and success stories from other colleges at the University of Sharjah.
