Career Advancement:
CASTO excels in providing innovative career advancement services. The office hosts a series of meticulously designed workshops and presentations throughout the academic year, focusing on crucial skills such as resume writing, cover letter crafting, and portfolio development. These initiatives ensure that students are not only prepared but also stand out in a competitive job market. The office also link employers and expertise of the field through the Meet the Team and Let’s Talk Employability. These talks provide insightful information from industry experts of expectations and bridging the gap between a classroom student and a skilled worker.
Practical Training
As a prerequisite for graduation, practical training is a cornerstone of CASTO's approach. The office assist in securing a wide range of training opportunities for students through its Partners List, Internship Opportunities Portal (IOP), and partnership with IAESTE. This hands-on experience allows students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing their employability and professional growth. Our office also monitors the students reporting during their entire internship duration as per regulated by the Ministry of Higher Education via the e-training platform (Taskstream).
On campus Employment Program
One of CASTO's flagship programs, Student Employment Program (SEP) provides on-campus part-time employment opportunities to more than 800 enrolled students annually. This program not only helps students gain valuable work experience but also contributes to the operational needs of the university, creating a symbiotic relationship between students and the institution. CASTO also employs skilled graduates of the University to work within the campus through the Graduate Employment Program (GEP) as part of the employability readiness.
International Training (IAESTE)
CASTO's affiliation with IAESTE has been instrumental in providing international internship opportunities to students. With access to over 80 member countries, IAESTE facilitates cross-cultural exchanges, enriching students' perspectives and enhancing the university's global reputation. At the same time, our office hosts these international interns within our campus to support our research groups as well as administrative departments.

CASTO’s Key Achievements include:
- Workshops and Training: CASTO has conducted an impressive 190 workshops over the past five years, equipping students with essential skills for employability success.
- Employer Database: The office has curated a robust database of more than 3000 employers for internships, ensuring a diverse range of opportunities for students.
- Part-Time Employment: Through SEP, CASTO has employed more than 2000 part-time students, fostering a culture of work experience and professional development.
- Employability Readiness: The academic year 2022/2023 recorded an impressive 72% employability readiness rate, as evaluated by internship site supervisors, showcasing CASTO's effectiveness in preparing students for the workforce.
- International Exchanges: CASTO has facilitated more than 200 international exchanges via IAESTE, providing students with invaluable global exposure and enhancing the university's international reputation.
