Dr. Noha Mousaad Elemam, Senior Lecturer of Immunology at the College of Medicine, was recognized by the L'Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Middle East Regional Young Talents Program in September 2023. She is the first female scientist from the University of Sharjah to be recognized in the postdoctoral category.

As a  member of the immuno-oncology research group at RIMHS, she aimed at developing early breast cancer biomarkers with the goal of understanding cancer progression and achieving better patients' survival rates.
