The University of Sharjah (UoS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zarmed University in Samarkand, the Republic of Uzbekistan, to promote research and enhance academic cooperation between the two universities in various fields of medical and health sciences. The MoU was signed on behalf of UoS by Prof. Youssef Al Haik, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and by Dr. Shukurlev Dalirovich, representing Zarmed University. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Nabil Sulaiman, Director of Clinical Training Center, and Sharjah Surgical Institute.

The MoU stipulates cooperation between the two universities in various fields, including the exchange of educational and research materials, publications, and academic information, the exchange of faculty, research scholars, and students, cooperation in joint research and meetings for education and research, and cooperation in doctoral education. Prof. Nabil Sulaiman emphasized the importance of this cooperation between the Universtiy of Sharjah and Zarmed University, as it provides a great opportunity for faculty members to attend and participate in scientific conferences, seminars, and specialized lectures in the medical field. Additionally, it facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and the provision of professional training for students.
