University of Sharjah Signs MoU with Tata Consultancy Services to Explore Collaboration on Research and Innovation Programs
The University of Sharjah (UoS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as part of its commitment to promoting collaborative research with various local and international entities. The MoU was signed on behalf of the University by Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Graduate Studies and Research, and by Mr. Ajay Singh, Regional Managing Director for TCS UAE, Oman, and Kuwait. The MoU aims to promote cooperation in developing innovation programs and conducting scientific research projects across various fields to serve the community. It will focus on emerging technologies and artificial intelligence to support students in their research projects and provide a roadmap for establishing innovation labs.
His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of UoS, welcomed attendees from Tata Consultancy Services, on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah. Prof. Hamid Al Naimiy emphasized that the MoU represents a unique opportunity to enhance collaboration with TCS in research aimed at community service, advancing the educational process, and encouraging students to work on innovative research projects. He also provided an overview of the University's distinguished research institutes and centers.
