The University of Sharjah’s Sustainability Office Organized a Training Workshop on How to Take Care of House Pets
The Animal Welfare Circle of the Sustainability Office at the University of Sharjah organized a training workshop that dealt with explaining and clarifying ways and methods of providing the necessary care for house pets, as well as care for stray animals, during which it hosted a number of members of the Emirates Animal Welfare Association. This in the presence of Dr. Imad Alsyouf, Director of the Sustainability Office, along with Ms. Shabnam Fatima, Coordinator of the Animal Welfare Circle; Prof. Aisha Al Romaithi, Managing Director of the Emirates Animal Welfare Society, and a number of faculty and staff members and university students. The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of the TNR initiative in monitoring the number of stray animals and their impact on animal health and behavior, presented by Sarita Harding, volunteer member of the Emirates Animal Welfare Association. In addition to increasing public awareness of the ways to take care of dogs and cats, provide health care, provide water and food for them, and develop their relationship with neighboring people. Dr. Imad Alsyouf thanked the attendees, stressing the general goal that the Office of Sustainability seeks to make the campus at the University of Sharjah more sustainable, in various fields.
