The University of Sharjah’s Business Services Department Continues to Offer its Services While Ensuring Safety Measures
As part of the precautionary measures that the United Arab Emirates is taking to combat the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Hashimi, Director of Business Services Department at the University of Sharjah, confirmed the Department's keenness to continue providing its services to the University's community while applying the best security and safety standards while completing the various transportation and mail requests that leave a positive impact for students, faculty and staff members. The Business Services Department includes four units, namely the Security and Safety Unit, the Transportations Unit, the Passports Unit, and the Mail Office. The Department is currently controlling and monitoring the campus gates, collects information about visitors, providing medical sterilizers for them when entering the main building, and measures the temperature of all employees. It is also distributing masks and gloves to all security personnel and making sure that they are worn, as well as sterilizing office doors and elevator buttons in all university buildings.
The Department is coordinating with the employees present at the University and the visitors in the event of handing over and receiving requests, directing visitors with the instructions issued by the Department related to public health, and continuing all passport services for students, staff members as well as faculty and their families. Finally, it is also communicating with companies and institutions to facilitate the transportation and shipping process for the University's mail requests.
