The University of Sharjah and the Sharjah Police Academy Discuss Areas for Strengthening Cooperation
His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, received a delegation from the Sharjah Police Academy to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the Academy and the University and to benefit from the experiences of the University of Sharjah in various fields. This in the presence of Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies; Prof. Esam El-Din Agamy, Dean of the Deanship of Quality Assurance, Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation; and Prof. Raafat El-Awady, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies
The Academy delegation included: Lieutenant Colonel Jamal Ahmed Al Shehhi, Deputy Director of the Officers' College Administration; Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Basem Hassan Al Naqbi, Head of the Education and Graduate Studies Department; and Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Al Shamsi, Head of Student Affairs Section.
During the meeting, the University Chancellor welcomed the delegation, stressing that community service and development through cooperation and constructive partnership with local institutions and bodies is one of the most important elements of the University's current strategic plan, and therefore the University of Sharjah welcomes all types of cooperation with the Academy.
After that, the attendees discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the fields of examinations, scientific discussions of graduate theses, joint supervision of scientific theses, holding scientific conferences, as well as training faculty members through the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University of Sharjah.
