The University of Sharjah Awards the Participants in the National Ambassadors Program (ESTEDAD)

Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies at the University of Sharjah organized a ceremony honoring the participants of faculty and staff members in the National Ambassadors Program (ESTEDAD) launched by the Ministry of Education. The University participated with a large number of academic programs that enable high school students with the scientific and theoretical skills necessary to prepare for the university study period. Through this participation, the University aims to serve and develop the community, which is one of the most important goals of its five-year strategic plan, and it is also keen to actively contribute to developing the skills and capabilities of future generations. .

Prof. Maamar Bettayeb, Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, supervised the University's participation in the program along with Dr. Manar Abu Talib, Head of the Research Outreach Department. The honoring ceremony was also attended by several college deans, department directors and the participating faculty and staff members.

The University's participation in the program is represented by 5 colleges: The College of Fine Arts and Design, the College of Medicine, the College of Science, the College of Engineering, and the College of Computing and Informatics. With more than 20 faculty members, the colleges participated by offering 9 academic programs for 180 students, namely: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program, Earth Sciences Program - Research Methodology in Earth and Planetary Systems, Epigenetic Science Program in Cancer Evolution, Renewable Energy and Energy Storage Systems Program, and Innovative Design Program - Generation Concepts for Production, the Clinical Cancer Research Program, the Transient Astronomy Program, the Creative Design Program for Simulating Social Needs, and the Artwork Creation Program in Various Dimensions.

Prof. Bettayeb started the ceremony by thanking the faculty and staff members participating in the program for their efforts exerted in promoting scientific research and entrepreneurship. He also thanked the Ministry of Education for the opportunity to participate in this program that helped students go through experiments and gain scientific expertise. . In addition, he presented a number of programs offered by the various colleges, and the students' opinion on these programs, as well as the participation of the Marketing and student recruitment Department in guiding students to the academic programs that suit them, and introducing them to the admission requirements to the University and campus life.

The ceremony was concluded by honoring the faculty members, the coordinator of the program, and the Marketing and Student Recruitment Department.

It is worth noting that the National Ambassadors Program (ESTEDAD), launched by the Ministry of Education within its skill and virtual academy system for the summer of 2020, consists of five tracks: the scientific research track, the enrichment track, the entrepreneurship track, the diplomacy track, and the virtual summer training sustainability program.
