The Hult Prize Foundation Chose a Graduate of the University of Sharjah as its First Ambassador to the UAE
The Hult Prize Foundation chose a graduate of dentistry from the University of Sharjah, Sima Habrawi, as the first ambassador for the organization in the United Arab Emirates. She will work as the first official in organizing and leading the community of the organization in the country, with the aim of spreading the idea of the award and leading students from various universities in the Emirates to participate with their ideas and projects to solve one of the global problems that will be officially announced at the award ceremony that will be held later in New York, USA in conjunction with the annual council of the United Nations. Sima Habrawi was chosen based on her achievements as the organization's public relations officer at the University of Sharjah in 2018, then as director of the organization at the University in the year 2019.
It is worth noting that the Hult Prize is considered a "Nobel Prize for Students" as described by Time Magazine, and the competition attracts more than one million students from all over the world annually, and receives support from various international bodies such as the United Nations and others, and the prize seeks to find innovative solutions to confront social crises in poor and impoverished areas around the world through a prize of US $1 million in seed capital to create and launch the winning project.
