Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Science of the Arabs and Muslims discusses its strategic plan

The Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Arab and Muslim Sciences (SIFHAMS) at the University of Sharjah held a meeting of the second Executive Board of the Foundation headed by His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University, and in the presence of the members of the Board, namely: Prof. Awad Khalaf, Dean of Shari'ah and Islamic Studies College; Prof. Nadia M. Alhasani, Dean, College of Fine Arts & Design (CFAD); Dr. Hussein El Mahdi, Dean of Academic Support Services; Prof. Mesut Idriz, Acting Director of SIFHAMS; Prof. Gaffar Attaelmanan, Chair of the Department of Applied Physics and Astronomy - College of Sciences; Prof. Khalil Al Dosary, College of Sciences - Mathematics Department Chairman of Student Education Fund Committee; Dr. Emad Nosair, College of Medicine, Member in the American Association of Anatomists; Dr. Reyhan Sabri, Assistant Professor at the College of Engineering; and Ahmed Adel Zidan, Library and information Specialist.

During the meeting of the Board, Prof. Idriz presented a report on the Foundation in terms of its activities during the past period and its future plans in the coming period. The Board also discussed the Foundation's strategic plan, approving the continuity of cooperation and signing a number of agreements with King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, the University of Cologne in Germany, and the University of Islamic Sciences in Malaysia, Mindanao University in the Philippines, and Al Qasimia University in Sharjah. The Board also discussed the date of launching the winter school for postgraduate students for the year 2021. They also discussed and approved the launch of the fourth international conference of SIFHAMS in April 2021, as suggested. The Board also proposed cooperating with the House of Islamic Manuscripts in Sharjah, through postgraduate students conducting scientific research in the field of architecture, translation and preservation of documents and manuscripts.
