Decision No. (16) stipulates that the University of Sharjah shall be formed in its new session headed by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Alqasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and as the President of the University of Sharjah, and with the following members:

1. His Excellency Dr. / Obaid Al Muhairi, Former Executive Dean of Arabic Language and UAE Studies - Higher Colleges of Technology
2. His Excellency / Mr. Mohammed Abdallah, CEO, Sharjah Islamic Bank
3. His Excellency Dr. / Tariq bin Khadim, Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources - Government of Sharjah
4. Her Excellency Dr. / Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private School Authority
5. Her Excellency / Mrs. Noura Al Noman, Chairman of the Executive Office of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi
6. Her Excellency Dr. / Khawla Abdul Rahman Al Mulla, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in the Emirate of Sharjah
7. His Excellency / Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority
8. His Excellency Counselor Dr. / Mansour Muhammad bin Nassar, Legal Adviser and Head of the Legal Department of the Government of Sharjah, and Professor of Administrative and Constitutional Law at the Sharjah Police Academy

His Excellency Prof. / Guenter Meyer, Director of the Centre for Research on the Arab World (CERAW) at the University of Mainz, Germany, Chairman of the German Middle East Studies Association (DAVO), President of the European Association for Middle East Studies (EURAMES) and Chairman of the International Advisory Council of the World Congress for Middle Eastern Studies (WOCMES)
11. His Excellency Prof. / Alexander Kuleshov, President of Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology - Moscow (Skoltech)
12. His Excellency Prof. / Kamal Youcef-Toumi, Professor of Electronics Engineering and Co-Director of the Center for Clean Water and Energy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - USA
13. His Excellency Prof. / Mohamed H. Sayegh, MD, Senior Research Adviser in the MENA at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the UAE, Dean of the College of Medicine (2009-2020) and Professor of Medicine and Immunology at the American University of Beirut - Lebanon, and Regional Ambassador of the AAHCI Office in the Middle East and Chair of the AAHCI Guidance Committee and Senior Lecturer at Harvard Medical School
14. His Excellency Prof. / Abdallah I. Husein Malkawi, Chancellor, Fahad Bin Sultan University
15. His Excellency Prof. / Martin Barstow, Pro-Vice Chancellor Strategic Science Projects, Director of the Leicester Institute of Space & Earth Observation, Professor of Astrophysics and Space Science at the University of Leicester, UK

The term of membership in the Board is three years, renewable for a similar period(s), and those whose membership expired may be reappointed. This decision shall be enforced from the date of its issuance, and the concerned entities shall implement it, each in their own jurisdiction, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
