Great Places to Visit Near the University of Sharjah

Sharjah Airport is located 13km southeast of Sharjah. It is a few minutes' drive from UoS and 15 km from central Dubai.

06 Mall

You will never struggle to find a place for entertainment when at UoS. There are neighborhood malls situated around the University of Sharjah within a 5-minute drive. Such as Matajer and 06 malls that are populated with cafes, eateries, supermarkets, clothing shops, and a cinema chain at 06 Mall.

Centro Sharjah

UoS campus is close to a number of hotels with various pricing and ratings to suit all your needs. Most notable, is Centro Sharjah by Rotana a 4-star hotel with extremely affordable prices and excellent service less than a 10-minute drive from the UoS campus.

City Center Al Zahia

There is also a huge shopping mall with various forms of entertainment a short driving distance from UoS. “Al Zahia City Center” is one of the largest shopping malls in the UAE that services the whole area. It provides a huge supermarket and all types of shops from furniture and home supplies to clothing and apparel. It also has play areas and a cinema.

Jarir Bookstore

There is also a megastore for Stationery and education supplies. Jarir Bookstore provides all types of stationery, school supplies, and other items you may need during your time at UoS. The bookstore showroom is located on Khalid Bin Sultan Alqasimi Blvd Rd a short distance from UoS campus.

The University of Sharjah campus houses a major medical center for both general medicine and dental medicine.The University Hospital Sharjah and the University Dental Hospital Sharjah are less than a 5-minute drive from campus. All types of medical services are provided by experienced medical staff and professors in case of any emergency God forbid.

New residential communities, such as Al Zahia and Arada, have recently opened near the UoS campus. These communities offer accommodations, restaurants, cafés, shops, supermarkets, and other entertainment facilities. These communities include Al Zahia and Arada.
