Goals
- Grow native plants under the botanical garden conditions for educational purposes.
- Use native plants for landscaping parts of the UoS campus.
- Convince the Agriculture Sector of the University of Sharjah and the Agricultural Department in Sharjah Municipality to adopt native plants in landscaping Sharjah City.

- Successful growth of native plants under botanical garden conditions for educational purposes.
- Utilization of native plants for landscaping on the UoS campus.
- Promote the adoption of native plants by the Agricultural Sector of the University of Sharjah and Sharjah Municipality for city landscaping.
Current Projects and Achievements
Native plants are currently growing under the nursery of Fine Arts College. Seeds from around 15 species were soaked and are now thriving. These include:
- Trees, large shrubs, small shrubs, and herbs.
- Medicinal and non-medicinal plants with cultural significance.
New Initiatives
- Students studying landscape design in the Department of Architecture and Fine Arts will use the grown plants in designing gardens, parks, and streets.
- Faculty from Biotechnology and Architecture departments will collaborate on research focused on native plants with potential for use in landscaping.
