University of Sharjah:
The University of Sharjah is a comprehensive academic institution with a distinctive learning style and a global vision. It is a pioneer in academia, scientific research and the arts in the UAE and the GCC region. All programs are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Some programs such as Engineering, Communication, Science and Business have attained international accreditation.
Alumni Office:
The Alumni office aims to empower UoS graduates to navigate the challenges of the job market and offers valuable guidance for pursuing higher studies. It also serves as a platform for alumni to voice their opinions, concerns, and aspirations. Additionally, the Alumni office works hand in hand with its alumni to contribute to society, supporting the broader mission of the University of Sharjah.
Emirate of Sharjah:
The University of Sharjah is located 15 minutes from the main centers of cultural interest in Sharjah and 30 minutes from the main centers of cultural and consumer interest in Dubai. Transportation to all destinations is both affordable and conveniently arranged by taxi.
The University is located near the Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) and is a 20-minute drive from Dubai International Airport (DXB), assuming normal traffic conditions. You can arrange airport pick-up/drop-off through your hotel booking or take a local taxi from/to the airport.

In Sharjah, in October, the average high-temperature is 36°C (96.8°F), and the average low-temperature is 20.6°C (69.1°F). Drink plenty of water.

The UAE is one of the region's most tolerant states, carefully balancing the needs of tourists from all over the world with the traditions of an Islamic society. Visitors should be aware that, in keeping with Sharjah's decency guidelines introduced in 2001, revealing clothing is not acceptable for men and women. It's fine to wear swimwear at the beach or hotel pool, but visitors should dress modestly in public places like shopping malls and hotel lobbies. This means covering up from shoulder to knee and avoiding tight, transparent or revealing clothes. Lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, with a cardigan, sweater or light jacket for cooler winter nights and air-conditioned premises.
The currency of Sharjah is the dirham (Dhs), also known as the Arab Emirate Dirham (AED), which is divided into 100 fils. Notes come in denominations of 1,000, 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5, and coins include AED 1, 50 fils and 25 fils.
