Caffeine consumption and mental health among health professional students: a mixed-method study

This study used a cross-sectional approach to explore caffeine's impact on mental health in healthcare students during exams, employing both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Data was descriptively analyzed using Python to comprehensively compare survey results and derive insights. Interviews were used to gain more in-depth understanding for caffeine consumptions and its impact on stress levels and mental health. Results showed that females consuming more caffeine than males in participants. Nursing majors exhibit the highest intake frequency among medical students, with most respondents reporting no mental health. Students are encouraging caffeine consumption, especially during final exam periods
