The University of Sharjah's Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) program gives students the knowledge and abilities to conduct, evaluate, and interpret clinical laboratory tests. Clinical chemistry, medical microbiology, haematology, histology, immunology, and molecular biology are just a few of the subjects covered in this curriculum that combines theoretical and practical study. The senior year is mostly devoted to clinical placements in nearby hospitals. The American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and the UAE Ministry of Higher Education have both authorized the curriculum, which enables graduates to appear for the ASCP international certification exam (ASCPi) without the need for transcript equivalency or review.

Graduates are equipped for positions in clinical laboratory generalists and specialists, quality assurance and quality experts, and technical representatives in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, and education sectors, as well as private labs, hospitals, clinics, and research facilities.
