Why Health Care Management?

Established in 1999 and approved by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education, the University of Sharjah's Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management (previously Health Services Administration) program trains graduates for a variety of administrative positions in the rapidly expanding healthcare sector. The curriculum incorporates leadership, human resources, accounting, marketing, planning, information systems, and facilities management. It is designed to take four years and 134 credits. Opportunities for graduates may be found in pharmaceutical businesses, hospitals, R&D centers, health insurance companies, and more. The program covers current topics such health policy, strategic planning, quality improvement, and digital health with an emphasis on applying scientific knowledge to healthcare administration. With the help of this multidisciplinary approach, students gain professional competences, problem-solving and lifelong learning abilities, and are ready for an advanced education in healthcare management.
