This study investigated health sciences students' understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. Students had a high understanding of AI terms and recognized its potential applications such as providing preventative health recommendations, analyzing patient information, and formulating treatment plans. However, there were concerns about job displacement, ethical challenges, and the healthcare system's readiness for AI. The study highlights the importance of AI training for future medical professionals, as over half of the students (58%) believed it to be essential.
