Why Environmental Health Sciences?

Graduates of the University of Sharjah's Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health curriculum is prepared to comprehend and manage environmental influences on health. This four-year program, for 134 credits, was established in 2002 and is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the United Arab Emirates. Its subjects include waste management, sustainable development, water supply, and occupational health. Students can work in ministries, federal environmental agencies, health centers, hospitals, gas and oil corporations, factories, towns, ports, airports, and academics after learning how to create and adapt strategies for environmental protection. The program incorporates the theoretical and practical knowledge that is necessary to lessen the negative effects of the environment on human health.

The department introduced its Master of Science in Environmental Health program for the 2020–21 academic year, equipping professionals with cutting edge knowledge and research abilities to promote sustainable environments in line with the UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda. Graduates can find employment in environmental, health, and safety-related fields in municipalities, environmental ministries, universities, research facilities, businesses, civil defense, and consulting firms.
