CFAD’s efforts in creatively recycling projects have always been part of design studios across the various academic levels. Experimenting with paper, plastic and wood, projects documented included Art beyond Plastic (freshmen design studio), Design with Nature (interior design), Zero Waste (interior design), and Papermaking (fine arts). The documented projects were nominated by the University of Sharjah’s COP28 UoS Committee to represent the University’s academic and research work on sustainability. It was displayed in the UoS booth in the Green Zone (Expo 2020, Dubai) as part of two COP28UAE program themed days. December 2nd was focused on “World Climate Action Summit,” and December 8th was focused on Youth, Children, Education, and Skill.
