Faculty leading the Professional Practice Course launched Mock Interviews for all CFAD’s senior students. The three-hour event was a collaboration between CFAD, CASTO (Career Advising & Student Training Office) and UoS WRITING CENTER. The Pilot project was conducted in a professional environment requiring students to present their resumes and portfolios. The interviewing stations were staffed with “Potential Employers” and “HR Recruiters” included 6 CFAD Faculty, 5 CASTO Staff and 4 Language Center Instructors. UoS Director of Strategy, Dr. David Carter, participated in the event to gauge firsthand students’ employability preparedness. Over 70 students participated in the interviews and expressed their delight with the experience. The feedback shall help them prepare for future interviews with potential employers. Special appreciation to Rita Abou Haidar (Visiting Lecturer in Interior Design) whose leadership and commitment made the pilot project a success.
