CoBA’s Participation In Cop28

The Dean of the College of Business Administration Prof. Ilhan Ozturk along with the Vice Dean Prof. Mohammad Al-Hawari and Head of the Management Department Dr. Shaker Bani Melhem have visited the University of Sharjah stand in Cop28. CoBA has represented the University of Sharjah in Cop28 through several activities. One of these activities was a session and panel discussion on the topic of Financial technology at UAE: Current and future perspective presented by Dr. Noura Metawa, Assistant Professor of Finance. Another contribution for CoBA was through two research papers. The first presentation was by the DBA Candidate Mrs. Jawahir AlShehhi who has presented a paper entitled The effect of institutional factors on environmental efficiency: A cross-country analysis using a Bayesian data envelopment analysis approach under the supervision of Dr. Panagiotis Zervopoulos, Director of DBA Program and Associate Professor of Management and the second presentation was by the DBA candidate Mr. Saeed Abdelrahim Almulla who has presented a paper entitled The effects of credit expansion on financial stability and sustainability performance: Evidence from GCC banks under the supervision of Prof. Hussein Al Tamimi, Director of EMBA and MBA Programs and Professor of Finance. And finally, Prof. Ramakrishnan Ramanathan, Professor of Management delivered a session on Exploring the use of digital technologies for sustainability and GHG reductions in UAE Food Supply Chains DigiFood
