Why Arabic Language and Literature ?
The University of Sharjah's Department of Arabic Language and Literature, established in 1997, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the Arabic language and cultural identity. Offering bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees, all accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, we strive to produce skilled graduates ready to serve both the public and private sectors. Under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah and founder of the University of Sharjah, may Allah protect him, the department serves the community through a wide range of courses and educational programs for students across disciplines, fostering the growth of outstanding individuals. Guided by the principles of Ibn Taymiyyah on the pivotal role of Arabic in religious studies, we emphasize student-centered teaching to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
