The college has obtained initial accreditation of its Ph.D. in
Arabic Language and Literature program by the Academic
Accreditation Board of the UAE Ministry of Education. Registration
will start in the Fall semester 2018/2019.

The college has applied for the reaccreditation of the B.A. and
M.A. programs in History and Islamic Civilization and for the
initial accreditation of the Ph. D. program in History and Islamic
Civilization to the Academic Accreditation Board of the UAE
Ministry of Education. An external review team (ERT) from the
board visited the college in Spring 2017/2018. The college has
received the ERT report and has prepared a response to it.

The college developed a Ph. D. program in Criminology and Criminal
Justice. A number of other colleges are contributing to this
ambitious program. Initial accreditation of this program is
expected to take place in the near future.

The college developed a Ph. D. Linguistics and Translation
program. It has been approved by the UOS Board of Trustees
following initial accreditation by the Academic Accreditation
Board of the Ministry of Education.

The college has prepared a B.A. French Language program, which has
been approved by the UOS Board of Trustees following initial
accreditation by the Academic Accreditation Board of the Ministry
of Education.
