"The research aims to achieve two purposes: a foundational purpose that focuses on defining the sources of 'Extrapolating Branches over Branches', its pillars, conditions, manners, and benefits, and an applied purpose that aims to explain the impact of this juristic reasoning method in deriving rulings for contemporary jurisprudential issues. The researcher employed the inductive and analytical methods and reached several conclusions, including: ‘Extrapolating Branches from Branches' has original sources that serve as principles for Extrapolation or derivation, such as: the Imam's text, his actions, and his approvals. The permissibility or prohibition of derivation is not absolute; rather, each derivation must be considered individually, assessing its conditions and the validity of the ijtihad (Islamic legal reasoning) behind it. ‘Extrapolating Branches from Branches' has noticeable effects in deriving rulings for some contemporary jurisprudential Fiqh issues in various areas such as acts of worship, criminal laws, financial transactions, and medical issues. The derivation usually follows the norm based on the similarity of the context between the two issues, the consistency of the outcome, and ensuring alignment with the objectives of the Shari’a.”
