The College Of Sharia At The University Of Sharjah Organizes A Scientific Symposium Entitled The Role Of Islamic Culture In Skills Development And Awareness Of The Sustainability Of Natural And Human Resources.

Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Director of the University of Sharjah, and in cooperation with the University’s Sustainability Office, the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies organized the first scientific symposium for students of the Islamic Culture course, under the title “The Role of Islamic Culture in Developing Skills and Awareness of the Sustainability of Natural and Human Resources.”

Based on the fact that the “Islamic Culture” course is a pivotal course due to the importance of the topics it addresses, which include the characteristics of Islamic culture, its sources, fields, and its impact on achieving the concepts of environmental, social, economic, and human sustainability, developing leadership skills, teamwork, and consolidating the concept of flexibility, tolerance, and endurance. Pressures. This student symposium was aimed at consolidating the concept of Islamic values, clarifying their impact on shaping human reality, and promoting the literature of dialogue and coexistence with other cultures. Among its objectives was introducing students to the mechanisms for activating environmental, social, and economic sustainability, developing their leadership spirit, and training them to withstand pressure within a team. Homogeneous action. In addition to encouraging students to engage in scientific research, refining their tools of analysis and criticism, and linking them to sources of Islamic culture. Within its scientific sessions, the symposium discussed 17 research papers that revolved around four axes, namely: the sources of Islamic culture and its characteristics - belief, worship and morals in Islamic culture - areas of sustainability and ways to achieve them in Islamic culture - creativity, innovation and skills development in Islamic culture.
