A Master's thesis in Islamic Jurisprudence and its Principles titled: "The Rights and Care of the Elderly: A Jurisprudential Study Compared to the Emirati Law on Senior Citizens' Rights (Federal Law No. [09-2019])" was recently defended at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at the University of Sharjah. The thesis was presented by the researcher Aisha Yousuf Mohammed Rahma Al Shamsi, under the title: "The Rights and Care of the Elderly: A Jurisprudential Study Compared to the Emirati Law on Senior Citizens' Rights (Federal Law No. [09-2019])."
The defense took place on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 4:00 PM in person at the Ibn Hanbal Auditorium, College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Women's Campus.
The examination committee included Prof. Dr. Mohammed Suleiman Al-Noor as the thesis supervisor, with Prof. Dr. Maher Hussain Haswa serving as the external examiner, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Omar Samaai as the internal examiner and committee chair, and Dr. Saeed Suleiman Al-Naqbi as the internal examiner.
