A master's thesis in Fiqh (Jurisprudence) and Its Fundamentals entitled: “The Objective Discretion of Al-Imam Al-Khatabi through His Book “Ma'alim Al-Sunan" was submitted to the College of Shari'ah and Islamic Studies, University of Sharjah for a viva voce defense by the researcher, Maryam Yusif Jama.

The Viva Voce was held in the Ibn Hanbal Auditorium, Female Campus, College of Shari'ah and Islamic Studies, on June 5, 2024 at 1 pm. The Viva voce defense committee was consisted of Dr. Dalila Berraf, (thesis supervisor), Dr. Amal Samir Murji (External Examiner), Prof. Mohammad Alemoush (Internal Examiner and Chairman of the Committee), and Dr. Arif Mohammed Aljanahi (Second Internal Examiner).
