Workshop on X-Matrix

A workshop on using the “X-Matrix" to follow up on the implementation of strategic plans was organized by the College of Sciences at the University of Sharjah on Thursday 14/12/2023 under the supervision of the Dean of the college of Sciences Prof. Dr. Nouar Tabet and his vice dean Prof. Ihsan Shehadi.

The X-matrix workshop was an opportunity for all faculty members to meet and discuss a list of 10 initiatives that aimed at achieving the set goals of the university's strategy. The discussion was focused on identifying the most suitable key performance indicators that will be sued to measure the success of such initiatives.

The proposed implementation of the initiatives includes the development of new academic programs that meet the needs of the evolving job market and integrating the rapid technological developments, novel education methodologies, scientific research that is focused on solving the problems of the community and strengthening the cooperation with leading global and local institutions.

Ten teams were composed of members from different departments to supervise the implementation of all initiatives. It is worth noting that there was a general consensus among the participants that the debates were rich and fruitful and that the workshop was a great success.
