Why Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacotherapeutics

The University of Sharjah's Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacotherapeutics blends pharmacy practice with pharmacology, enhancing the college's reputation worldwide via superior instruction and research. By giving their knowledge to different committees and raising public awareness of health issues through publications, seminars, and media appearances, faculty members actively participate in the community. Faculty members in the pharmacology section focus on cancer research and neurology while providing undergraduate and graduate students with cutting-edge instruction. Robustly furnished with shared amenities, the department supports molecular biology and cell culture research. A master's program in pharmaceutical sciences is being planned. Students who complete the Pharmacy Practice unit will be well-prepared for a variety of pharmacy professions by receiving a thorough education in pharmaceutical sciences and patient-centered care.

Through practical instruction in community, hospital, and clinic settings, students learn responsible drug use and get clinical experience. Experts in managing drugs and illnesses, faculty members instruct students in medication administration and carry out research to improve pharmaceutical practice. In order to prepare future scientists and clinical pharmacists to meet changing healthcare requirements, the department provides M.Sc. and Pharm.D. degrees.
