Smoking is one of the most dangerous habits a person can acquire. One might assume that treating such a dangerous habit would be highly effective, but that is not the case! Studies have shown that nicotine patches, for example, provide insignificant improvement in smoking cessation rates.We believe that “like cures like,” so we decided to create a new pharmaceutical dosage form that mimics the act of smoking by using humidifier technology to transform Varenicline from a liquid to a vapor that smokers can inhale without heating the medication. Our product targets the addictive aspects of smoking as well as the physical aspects (such as hand-to-mouth movement and visual cues) to facilitate a smooth transition from smoking addiction to abstinence and promote adherence and confidence while taking the medication.A specific amount of medication will be added into cotton swab in solution form according to the recommended dose. The battery will work as an electrical source to activate the humidifier to convert the medication from liquid to vapor phase which ultimately be collected into glass container to be inhaled by the patient through the mouthpiece. The patient must use it for 2 months to achieve the best results. We believe that this innovative approach would be a revolutionary step towards long-term smoking cessation and prevention of relapse.
