Optimizing Cosmetic Formulations: An In-Depth Assessment of Preservative Efficacy, Product Stability and Microbial Safety
The project aimed to develop a formulation where the students determined the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) for various preservatives and used optimum type and concentration accordingly. Their rational approach in formulation design supports product safety and sustainable product design. Additionally, the students selected jars, and created a brand name, logo, and label, which they validated with the relevant authorities.
