Why Law?
Since its establishment in 2001, the Department of Private Law at the University of Sharjah has been a pioneering force in legal education, shaping the minds of future legal luminaries. As the first college of law in the United Arab Emirates, we pride ourselves on our esteemed faculty of twenty-six experts offering unequaled legal insights.
Our carefully crafted curriculum covers civil law, procedural law, commercial law, administrative, constitutional, criminal, international, and finance law, among other private and public law subjects, providing students with a robust foundation for success in the legal profession. We offer an academically accredited Bachelor of Law program in both Arabic and English. Our commitment to higher legal education is exemplified by our master’s and doctoral programs in public and private law, which further develop expertise in these fields. Notably, our master’s program in air and space law, taught in English, is the first of its kind in the Gulf and Arab countries, offering students the opportunity to learn about the complex legal frameworks that regulate air and space activities on both international and national levels.
Our commitment to excellence extends further. Our graduate programs in public and private law empower students to delve deeper into their areas of interest and expertise, providing advanced studies across various specialized legal domains. Join us at the College of Law for a transformative journey, where we nurture tomorrow's legal trailblazers. Choosing UoS means taking charge of the development trajectory of law, both nationally and globally.
