A Delegation from the Legal Affairs Department, the Emirates Health Services Corporation Visits the College of Law
On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, a delegation from the Legal Affairs Department of the Emirates Health Services Corporation led by the department director, Sheikha Noura Hamid Al Qasimi visited the College of Law. The delegation comprised several legal advisors and researchers. The purpose of the visit was to discuss a social initiative previously presented to the college that aims at training outstanding law students.
Professor Adnan Sarhan, Dean of the College of Law, expressed his gratitude to the director and her delegation for their initiative and visit. The Dean provided an overview of the college's diverse undergraduate and graduate programs highlighting the exceptional curricula that blend theoretical knowledge with practical skills necessary for the practice of various legal professions.
Additionally, the Dean discussed the activities of the legal centers and offices associated with the college that serve students, the University, and the community. He also drew attention to the college's strategic partnerships with several local and international entities that were forged through various memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements. These collaborations have provided support to the college's students and faculty, enhancing the college’s reputation both locally and globally.
In response, the visiting director, Sheikha Noura Hamid Al Qasimi, herself a distinguished alumna of the college at both the undergraduate and master's levels, presented the services offered by her department in the legal field. She expressed a sincere interest in collaborating with a prestigious institution like the College of Law at the University of Sharjah.
Legal researcher, Aisha Al Hamadi also presented an overview of different sections of the Legal Affairs Department, outlining the responsibilities and tasks of each. The meeting concluded with a fruitful exchange of details regarding the initiative, with the department expressing its desire to welcome several University of Sharjah senior students for external practical training. Both parties expressed their firm intentions to strengthen their relationship through an impending memorandum of cooperation.
