College of Law at the University of Sharjah Organizes an Orientation Meeting for New Students

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the College of Law at the University of Sharjah organized an orientation meeting for new students across all its programs. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Eid Mohammed Kanaan, and the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Adnan Sarhan, who specializes in Civil Law. Several faculty members were also in attendance. 

Professor Eid Kanaan opened the session with a speech outlining the role of the Deanship of Student Affairs and the student support services it provides. He also discussed opportunities for student participation in the Legal Association, co-organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the College of Law. This was followed by a speech by Professor Adnan Sarhan, who warmly welcomed the new students, wished them a successful academic year, and provided an overview of the college’s academic programs. He also presented a detailed plan to enhance students' legal skills, underscoring the college's commitment to maintaining high standards in both theoretical and practical education. 

The session continued with a presentation by Alaa Yacoub Youssef, Professor of Commercial Law, and a member of the Success Committee, who provided insights into the undergraduate program in law, which is conducted in Arabic. The event concluded with a speech by Nashwa Mohamed, Assistant Professor of Private International Law, who discussed the bachelor of arts program in law offered in English.
