The University of Sharjah's Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering aspires to be recognized both nationally and internationally for the outstanding caliber of its graduates and their research abilities. The department offers four undergraduate programs: a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Water Desalination Engineering and the newest one, a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronic and Robotics Engineering. The department also offers and MSc in Mechanical Engineering. The department mission is to prepare students for successful careers through high-quality education and research. The Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program was founded in 2012. Finally, starting from Fall 2024, the Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Department will start offering a program in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering. The Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering is also offering an MSc in Mechanical Engineering. The MSc in Mechanical Engineering provides in depth knowledge on the three tracks including Thermo-fluids and Water Desalination, Solid Mechanics, and Materials and Manufacturing.
