Dr. Zafar Said from the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering (SREE) Department, University of Sharjah, has received the Best Academic Research award in the Project category at the 13th Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST). Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and organized by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) since 2008, DAST is renowned for honoring significant contributions to environmental sustainability. This year’s competition saw participation from 168 talented individuals, and Dr. Zafars’s research stood out for its focus on advancing sustainable transport solutions. The recognition alongside esteemed peers underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in enhancing public transport and infrastructure.
