The University of Sharjah has recently signed a joint memorandum of understanding with the University of Malaya, Malaysia. The agreement aims to facilitate the granting of a double doctorate in selected engineering disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, and Civil Engineering. With time, the program will expand to include Mechanical Engineering and Renewable Energy. The memorandum will enable students to obtain a doctorate degree accredited by both universities and benefit from joint-supervision. To be eligible, graduate students and researchers must meet the conditions and rules of each university.
