Discover Restorative Dentistry

To establish an inspiring environment for dental education, the Department of Restorative Dentistry works in collaboration with the Department of Oral and Craniofacial Health Sciences works and the Department of Orthodontics, Pediatric and Community Dentistry. First-year students get clinical education, and fourth-year students begin a complete dental clerkship. During this time, senior clinical students practice patient care under close supervision from a group of clinical faculty and instructors with a variety of dental specialties. Our dental clinical services, equipped with state-of-the-art dental technology, can address any dental need, from regular check-ups to periodontal and endodontic treatments, fillings, and both fixed and removable prostheses. Our skilled staff, which includes instructors, tutors, dental hygienists, nurses, dental technologists, dental radiographers, and CSSD technicians, guarantees that each patient who visits our Academic Dental Center has a positive experience.

Periodontology, Endodontics Operative Dentistry and Prosthodontics are the four disciplines that make up the Department. . The dental facilities' labs and clinics host preclinical and clinical educational programs that use cutting-edge technologies into the provision of patient care as well as the teaching program. The Department is primarily in charge of clinical teaching at the University Dental Hospital Sharjah and the College of Dental Medicine. Its main goals are to prepare future dentists to provide patient-centered, comprehensive dental care. The Department's portfolio of sponsored projects includes fundamental, translational, and clinical research, with a focus on biomaterials. and dental public health research. Funding comes from both the university and industry.
