Why Mass Communication

Three paths are available in the Department of Mass Communication at the University of Sharjah's College of Communication: Print journalism, graphic design & multimedia, and radio and television. Students enrolled in the Radio & Television program receive instruction in videography, editing, and production, as well as presentation and direction for broadcast media. Students who choose the Graphic Design & Multimedia route will be proficient in online, interactive, and 2D and 3D design. The Print Journalism program concentrates on news layout, design, editing, and writing for magazines and newspapers. In order to prepare our students for employment in media companies such as television stations, newspapers, magazines, news websites, advertising agencies, and others, our staff is committed to fostering their media and ethical excellence.

Our graduates are prepared for success in a variety of vocations, including journalism, graphic design, web design, broadcast presenters, TV producers, and more, thanks to programs designed to fulfill the needs of the local and regional labor market. Graduates of our English-language Mass Communication degree have a wide range of job options in both public and commercial media organizations, both domestically and abroad. These prospects include media writing, translation, video editing, directing, graphic design, and public relations. The Department of Mass Communication is dedicated to supporting student achievement and equipping them for the ever-changing field of communication.
