The Society of Mass Communication in English organized a workshop titled "The Use of Voice in Media" where they invited the renowned Voice Over Artist, Maya Sarji, under the provision of the Mass Communication Department. The event was held in W7 on Feb. 9, 2022. The purpose of the workshop was to inform the students of the various uses and power that voice has in the media.  

The event started with a welcoming speech from the Prof. Jairo Alfonso Lugo-Ocando, the Dean of the College of Communication, where he welcomed the attendees that were over 50 students and faculty and has welcomed Maya Sarji. The workshop ended with a Q and A session, followed by a certificate of appreciation that as presented to Maya by Prof. Jairo, Dr. Thouraya Snoussi, Assistant Dean, and Dr. Ogadimma, the program coordinator and the supervisor of the SMCE.  

At the end, a giveaway of a microphone to a lucky winner was presented, followed by distribution of e-certificates to the attendees and refreshments.
