Cerebral aneurysms specifically affect blood vessels in the brain, although they can occur elsewhere in the body. In the UAE, aneurysms have become a serious health concern, with their prevalence on the rise. They rank as the fifth most common cause of stroke in the UAE, accounting for 6.2% of all cases. Women in the UAE are more susceptible to aneurysms than men, and the risk increases with age. Aneurysms most frequently occur in the middle cerebral artery, the internal carotid artery, and the outermost connecting artery in the United Arab Emirates.
