Enabling Safer Roads: Contact and Non-Contact Health Monitoring System for Truck Drivers

Due to tiredness, truck drivers are more likely to be involved in accidents on long drives. Alarms and manual inspections are among the less dependable solutions now in use. To successfully identify driver tiredness and maintain driver safety, we require an improved system. Our solution, the Truck Driver Safety System, integrates sensors for temperature and heart rate monitoring with Arduino and Raspberry Pi technology. It also has warning devices like lights and buzzers. The system employs a camera for tracking and YOLOv5 to identify sleepiness and tiredness. In the event of a problem, we'll install an emergency switch that sends the truck's location. We will be able to monitor drivers remotely due to a website. Our objective is simple: safer roads and fewer accidents caused by tiredness.
